Nigerian professional bodies fail for one reason more than any other: they are funded to launch, then left to survive on dues that never cover the promise. The League is raising a permanent capital fund of ₦500 million, invested in income-generating assets whose returns fund welfare, training and operations in perpetuity.
The capital may never be spent, pledged or charged. Income is applied to welfare first. The fund is held separately, professionally managed, separately audited, and the protections are entrenched — they cannot be removed by any board.

No partner acquires governance influence, a role in welfare decisions, member data without consent, or any claim over the endowment. These exclusions are constitutional.

The League is a founding Member League of the Actors League of West Africa, a federation of autonomous national bodies. Affiliation subordinates no member to another: each governs its own affairs and keeps its own funds. What they share is one standard and one professional identity across the region.
